At The School House, your child is known, seen, heard, loved, and given a place to truly belong. That sense of belonging—and the celebration of each child's uniqueness—is not just something extra; it is the essence of The School House. It is what allows children to create, take risks, explore, ask questions, and truly learn and flourish. We help our students build a strong foundation in life so they can confidently shape their own futures. At The School House, learning spaces are called “houses,” and this is where all the magic happens—where children become part of a community and the sense of belonging reveals its power to spark curiosity and inspire growth.
In our play-based nursery our loving team of educators and nurses supports your child’s independence by soothing their adaption process, guiding them through the adaptation process, soothing transitions introducing daily routines, navigating friendships and community, and engaging them to explore the world with all their senses. Your child is guided through the bilingual learning journey (Spanish and English) with a focus on cooperation, teamwork, and respect for others and the environment. We empower children to make their own choices, solve problems, develop self-confidence, and think critically-while exploring the world through play.

Physical activity is essential for both our physical and mental health, and cultivating the habit of movement starts early. Everyone knows this, yet traditional educational institutions still integrate far too little physical activity. Children have an innate need to move, overcome challenges, and take risks. Taking healthy risks through physical movement builds children’s confidence, resilience, and their ability to solve problems and persist through frustration.
At The School House we integrate daily movement in the curriculum.
Don’t you agree it’s better to actually climb a tree than to watch someone else do it on YouTube?
More and more voices are speaking up to free our children from screens and give them back their childhood—those precious years of innocence and wonder, unconditional love and support, freedom, and endless possibilities.
At The School House we stand strong for being an entirely phone-free school, providing screen-free learning environments and encouraging families in our community to support the idea of a screen-free childhood.
Do you still remember the treehouse you built, and all the treasured childhood memories that came with it?
For millions of years, children have grown up in nature, in its pure simplicity and its abundant richness. Nature makes us feel good for a reason, so why wouldn’t we want that for our children?
Children at The School House don’t go out to nature during recess, they are within.
